At The Table is a playful watercolor workshop that balances painting and drawing from observation while exploring imaginative interiors. I’ll bring fruit bowls brimming with apples, bananas, and grapes, along with a few of my favorite bottles, to inspire lively still-life arrangements. Together, we’ll practice drawing ellipses (circles in space), experiment with color theory, pick up a few tips for painting landscapes, and leave plenty of time for gesture, collage, and open-ended play. Pictured above are works that combine watercolor, sumi-e ink, and collage, materials we’ll use to construct our own inventive still lives.

All skill levels welcome, and all materials provided.

Sean Hudson is an Albuquerque based painter with a great love and curiosity for art and its ability to transform our perception of the world.
