Imagining Flowers: A Watercolor Workshop with Deborah Stein 3/1/26

Imagining Flowers: A Watercolor Workshop with Deborah Stein 3/1/26
Join us for an intoxicating flower-filled Sunday in the studio surrounded by gorgeous live specimens to welcome the Spring. You’ll get to use the beautiful handmade colors for which LDBA is renown and try the Petal Palette Deborah designed for LDBA in 2024 and has been a best-seller ever since.
Flowers are perfect for studying nature, form and the rainbow of colors a flower contains but you’ll also be invited to consider the personality of a flower, exploring the many ways to express a flower in water and color. You’ll experiment with color mixing, loose wet techniques, drawing, and word games to loosen your hand and energize your imagination. In addition to watercolor we’ll enchant our paintings by painting with tea, flower infusions and ink to make vibrant paintings that bloom with life. We’ll also play with cut paper forms if you wish, turning our paintings into actual flowers.
You’ll leave with an array of beautiful paintings, a handful of flowers and tons of inspiration for the months ahead. Come on your own or bring someone dear to you to enjoy an afternoon of beauty and fun.
All materials provided and all skill levels welcome!
