It is a good time to start exploring painting botanical subjects that fit your skill level.

This small group session will give you step by step guidance with studies in mixing color, lighting subjects, and controlling paint. Become familiar with good materials that support your painting. Drawing for the Bashful, or some drawing experience is recommended prior to this session.

Santa Fe Artist, Lisa Coddington, MA, has been teaching art for over 20 years at numerous traditional and non-traditional educational organizations. Some locations include University of New Mexico, Santa Fe Community college, Denver and Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Her commissioned art ranges from licensing art for the gift industry, to private commissions. She received two educational grants. The first grant supported attending a Master Botanical Class at Cornell University, and the second grant supported her teaching a botanical art workshop in Grenada, West Indies. Her art is licensed for cards and prints with Santa Fe Prints and images, and is represented by Ernesto Mayans Gallery, Canyon Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
