Introduction to Flashe Paint w Elizabeth Wiseman 3/1/26
Flashe vinyl paint was developed by Lefranc & Bourgeois way back in 1954 and recently re-emerged on the scene. With a vinyl emulsion base Flashe provides a color saturated, velvety matte finish that plays well with all water-based mediums and is a great ground for oils.
If you love the look of gouache, you’ll love working with Flashe! This class is a fun, no-pressure opportunity to experiment with mixing and contrasting Flashe with other mediums, or to play with Flashe all by itself.
Watercolor artists will find Flashe to be a wonderful companion, offering the ability to layer, and create density that can be difficult to achieve with watercolor alone. I find Flashe to have a very organic looking, gouache like finish that is easy to work with.
Vinyl paints have expanded my acrylic and watercolor world, and Flashe is now a staple in my studio!
Come play with our beautiful Flashe palette at LDBA, and explore the possibilities!
All styles, and all levels welcome. All materials included!
