If you have wanted to try oil painting, but have been intimidated by the medium, this class will help de-mystify the process of painting in oils. All skill levels are welcome to join to learn the basics of how to utilize solvents, brushes and paints. You will learn the foundation of how create your own oil paintings and gain confidence with instruction and demonstration from Cynthia Young.

Cynthia is an oil painter with a BFA in painting currently living and creating in Santa Fe. She has experience painting every subject matter with a focus on landscapes and portraits. Join her in this 3.5 hour workshop for an in-depth introduction to oil painting. Materials and subjects for painting provided. You are welcome to bring your own brushes or paint if you like.
