I opened my home and studio up to a lovely group of ladies this Saturday. We spent 3 hours learning the fundamentals of Arrow Making. Along with painting, staining and fletching was champagne, jokes, stories and laughter. The talented students took their arrows home wrapped up in brown paper like mid-evil bouquets, with extra feathers and string to continue making arrows on their own. It was too fun!!
If you’d like to book a private Arrow Making Workshop, just drop us an email and we’ll set it up!
In other excited LDBA news; we are busy getting ready for our ‘Four Pillars of Decorative Arts Workshop‘ happening this Saturday. THERE IS ONE SPOT LEFT! Sign up HERE.
Also, we are looking at May 10th for the next Indigo Dyeing class. The class is being held at ISA in Williamsburg, in their a beautiful upstairs space with a rooftop garden, perfect for hanging indigo clothes to dry- Stay tuned!

The first signs of spring

We did it! We found the first signs of spring here in Brooklyn, NY. It’s been a long, cold winter -and even though it may snow again, the Earth is a stirring. We took the olympus camera out and tromped around in the sunshine to our favorite community garden to take these pictures and collect sticks for this Saturday’s Bows and Arrow’s Class. Later this Spring, we will hold Botanical Illustration in the garden. Hip! Hip! Hooray!
