This last Saturday LDBA held the much anticipated class “Make Your Own Cleaning Products” led by Sacha Dunn. Sacha is the genius behind Common Good, an all-natural cleaning product company started in Brooklyn. We met years ago and have been big fans of each other ever since. Pictures of the class will be on these pages all week. The class was beautiful, calming, informative and smelled delicious. The next one will be in March!! Sign up here.

Kindling Quarterly Magazine Launch

Yesterday I got to hang out with some very cool kids- LDBA was in charge of the kid’s area at the Kindling Quarterly  launch in Williamsburg. The magazine focuses on fatherhood as well as art, creativity and community. I set up a drawing, painting and a project area as well as a tee-pee play-space for the little ones. There was also face painting; I got to paint Peacocks, Princesses, rainbows, stars, hearts, tigers and Indian Princesses. Manimal made this wonderful canvas Tee Pee; it’s much more sturdy than mine and and available for pre order; you can bet you’ll see some at LDBA!
Nikki Berger Martinez (pictured above) was my amazing assistant for the day. She will also teach two kid’s classes at LDBA in March: Artist’s series classes featuring Picasso and Kadinsky. View and sign up for them HERE.  Nikki is an amazing talent and will teach ongoing classes at LDBA. (She also launched her own blog last night!)
In other news, LDBA held Sacha Dunn’s ‘make your own cleaning products’ class on Saturday. It was so fun and a total success. Tomorrow we’ll post pictures from that class and we will announce the date for another round in March.
